How we collect, use, and protect personal and lab data.

Interim notice, last updated 15 September 2026. This notice explains how LifeOrion handles personal data collected through this website. It will be replaced by our full Privacy Policy once legal review is complete.

Who we are: LifeOrion operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email support@lifeorion.com.

What we collect: when you request a demo or contact us, we receive your work email, name, organization, role, whether you are a laboratory, provider, facility or partner, and any message you add. Our hosting infrastructure also processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Why we use it: to reply to your request, arrange and follow up on a demo, keep in touch with you about LifeOrion, and keep this website and its forms secure. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and on taking steps you asked for before entering into a contract.

Who receives it: we do not sell or share your personal information. It is processed on our behalf by service providers, such as our hosting and content-delivery provider, Amazon Web Services, and our email provider. Where enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse, and Plausible analytics run only if you accept them. These providers may process data outside your country.

How long we keep it: we keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain our business relationship, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Your rights: depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email support@lifeorion.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Laboratory and patient data: this notice covers the website only. Data that laboratories process in the LifeOrion LIMS is handled under the agreements we make with those customers.
